@fldi17 The kindle is smaller – which is a plus, but I want a device the same size as a paperback, so you can carry it around as easily.
iPad plays video and games, but is so big that I would be reluctant to carry it around. Great for reading in bed, if the light can be turned down enough.
Great job! I’m still going back and forth between the KINDLE and The Sony Reader. Hmmm. Which to buy?
@joekkl the ipad is not an ebook reader your notebook computer is not an ebook reader because the the type of screen lcd or tft your human eyes can not stare at for 5 hours of reading.
Its not worth that much for a single functionality device.
Seriously though, why would anyone be interested to read color magazines in black/white kindle???

The kindle dosen’t support an open format such as epub. Amazon have also deleted books from the kindle without asking. Search new york times website for “Amazon Erases Orwell Books From Kindle”
Please consider an e-reader that supports open formats such as epub. This includes sony’s, the nook and many others.
