I really like this guy. Amazon is truly customer supportive. They will pay for return shipping, list their competitors prices and have free shipping. Considering his heritage, he uses his intelligence for positive goals to provide the best for others and his employees. Although some books have been pulled from his site, I’m impressed with most that aren’t. A fine line to survive in this political world. I would sure love to have lunch with him. Steve

Nice. It’s so simple. Yet why do so many companies simply not get it?
I’m not saying Amazon is the Second Coming, but they have changed my life in a generally positive way.

To me he seems like a very nice person; not arrogant or anything. And in fact: Amazon, in my eyes, is the only company, that really, really cares about customers satisfaction. they don`t only talk about it, they really live it. I´m a real fan and about 80% i buy, i buy at amazon !

I didn’t say money impressed me. The point I was making was that he has actually worked to produce a business to help people.

You, on the other hand, decide to call him an asshole when there are many other people in the world that have done much terrible things. Isn’t he trying to promote a device that will make books obsolete, thus, reducing the amount of trees that have to be chopped down?

Plus, you never elaborated on why you insulted him.

  10. ponyegg77 says:

Money impresses you does it? How shallow. Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been polluted, and the last fish has been caught, will man realize he cannot eat money! Mahatma Ghandi. That is someone to admire!

  11. baskers87 says:

Yeah, an asshole with a multi-billion dollar business – and the ability to use an apostrophe correctly.

Tbh, I find him to be an inspiration.

  12. ponyegg77 says:

    Jeff Bezo’s is an asshole!

  13. jayflame513 says:

Thank you for making me realize that customer service is key and extremely important. Being in the online retail business, it sure sux that I have low patience with my customers but I am going to improve that going forward.

I really like the timber and pacing of Jeff’s voice– he’s got a great, sincere, relaxed and believable demeanor. Steve Jobs is cool and suave, Jeff Bezos is almost– nerdy and lovable?

We’ve actually just showed this to our marketing execs. Marketing guys and gals can get so obsessed with measuring their spend – they forget why they’re doing the marketing in the first place.

This video is an awesome reminder of what business is all about – customer obsession (oh and also a great lesson on how to market a brand!… zappos!) – awesome all round.

  22. TeddyLeper says:

C’mon, Bezos is completely right about this acquisition. Zappos is a good company and a perfect fit for Amazon.

  23. gecko101 says:

meh…sounded a little like a sales pitch and how you should buy from them because they care more about customers rather than competition. i guess it was as good as it could have gotten…kinda a boring plot

  24. travelplenty says:

Thanks Jeff for validating the most important things for entrepreneurial organizations!
