I can understand people’s frustrations with having a “talk first” tutorial, however, I prefer this method. It’s the “hurry-up-and-play”, overly pragmatic mindset that is causing a lot of composing to go the way of fancy-loop-sound-libraries-thrown-into-a-track instead of true, artful, calculated and intelligent composing from the ground up. People are avoiding the “boring hard work” of figuring things out….and are avoiding the “boring hard work” of giving their life to an art. Excellent Vid…

Honestly, as a user of this product, these videos are a great resource (I think) for registered users. There’s a lot more than the sounds, and getting all the information you can is extremely helpful. If one needs examples, simply go to EastWest and listen to the audio they have. That’s honestly the best way, as you can hear them in context of an actual composition.

Thanks for this tutorial! I’m very new to the EWQL libraries, and this helped a bunch.

Sorry, I think we just want to hear the variety of voices in there and how realistic they sound played together. Personally I would like to know if there are any horror sounding chants in there.

Come on now, I already apologized for this. ;) If there’s anything you particularly want to hear, let us know and we’ll try to make a custom video for you.

  6. BullyBeat says:

For fuck sake play the damn sounds man.

    Excuse MY FRENCH!

  7. JRRShop says:

Yeah, that’s a good point, sorry about that. We put these demos up in hopes of providing useful tutorials for our customers but I can see how it’s nice to sometimes just hear sounds. We could make a custom video for you if you like, is there anything in particular you’d like to hear?

It’s a cool product, but as a DEMO, I was frustrated. I hate when someone shows a product I’ve never seen and starts by going through menus and options, blah blah. I want to HEAR it first! It this were NAMM I would have gotten bored and walked out of your booth after 5 minutes of talking.
