OK, I realise I was being a cheapskate but a ‘remanufactured product’ at less than half price for a new one was too tempting. Unit arrived promptly and functioned satisfactorily for a hundred sheets or so. Then lines appeared on the right side of the page.
After consulting the Epson website for cleaning advice, I found the transfer belt was seriously out of alignment and had been deliberately ‘botched up’ to overcome some form of sensor. Unit no longer works and provides an error message E511.
Most pissed off but cant’ be bothered to embark on protracted correspondence with the vendor.
I may have been unlucky but be warned and thoroughly examine and test the unit promptly and send it back if not satisfied.
