I really need a device such as this but there is one thing I need to be absolutely certain on before I make a purchase. I have around 50+ books in PDF format sitting on my computer. Will it be a simple transfer from my PC to the reader? Would that prove to be a difficult task or even possible at all?
@sooykaradajian Nope, its e-ink tech. So no color.
I was going to get a kindle, but I’ve decided on the Sony instead for various reasons. Is the Sony a resistive touch screen? The only thing I’m on the fence about is the glare, I like a touchscreen but I don’t like glare. I can see your reflection in it, can’t imagine how it is outdoors.
I <3 Lisa. :]
I’m gonna buy this ereader. Took me a month to decide but I finally know what I want thanks to you!
Danke!

But is it possible to have a default english-italian dictionary in this devise??
You always give great reviews. I am thinking of buying an eReader. Does the black flash with every page switch get really annoying? I think it would really bother me. Is this something that is easy to get used to? No one ever seems to bring it up so I’m guessing it is really a non issue. I really love to read and this seems to have so many amazing features and being able to access so many books on one small little easy to use device is amazing.
This is a high quality review.
@zuruxkakyn Hiya. i have one of these, and you can reverse the swipe to suit your style. I did.
does this e-book reader read also jpg and images?
can you see pictures with colors?
can i use the psp charger for the prs 600?
i love sony to death but untill they have a wyfi with color and a 2ghz processor i any buying (sorry sony still love you!!)
QUESTION!!
does enyone know whow I can alter the pdf file to make the text bigger?
not all pdf’s are inlarged if you click on medum ors XXL or XXL
and I dont want to zoome becuse then it would take forever to read.
I want to alter the pdf befor so the text is large and I can read it. I have several pdf book that I cannot read yet becus the text comes out really small on the sony reader.
swipe to left to flip pages? so unintuitive…
Sony prs 600 is now on sale for $200. Do you think it is a good price point for this reader?
The swiping really sucks as I find it not very stable as when I swipe foward and back the pages do not go FOWARD OR BACK… its pure fail.
it’s really awesome video
but i have a question
can i search in pdf files and write notes
as a normal book
i mean pdf files that is text not pictures
thanks again for your video
This is the most realistic and objective Sony Reader Touch PRS-600 review I have ever seen!
I hate seeing people exaggerating the glare issue about the PRS-600, which is not that disturbing and quite manageable. I used Kindle2 for 2 months, and the usability of that device can never compete with that of Sony Reader Touch’s usability.
As you have shown in your review, the dictionary thing in Sony PRS-600 is amazing! On the opposite, I don’t count Kindle’s dictionary as a real one! I can’t use it!
Love the review. But just for your information: you can change the sweeping motion in the options.
I want red one.
I have to agree, a very good review. It is strange that you don’t hear as much about Sony readers as you hear about Kindle or Nook.
Thanks for this, great review!
The cool thing about this device (and the iPad) is how it imports the open .epub format. See my deep-level description of the file format. Just cut and paste this on the end of the video address in your Web browser: vvGrFZdSDww
