How much would it cost to bring an Amazon bird to the vet every year to get a check up/wings clipped?
We are thinking about getting an Amazon, and we are doing reasearch but, I can’t find anything online. This is for all you Amazon bird owners, how much does a check up cost, and how much do wing clippings cost?

how bout you get out the phone book and call the vet, most of the vets prices will probably vary. some vets are expensive and other are not..
It will widely vary from vet to vet depending on their specialty. Look up the veterinarians in your area that provide care for birds, and ask them.
Depends on the vet. You’ll have your office visit: $20-40. The wing clipped usually is about $10-15. The initial check-up shouldn’t be more than $20.
We have 3 Amazons. When we take them all for beak (if needed), and nail trims it runs about $90.00. We do not get their wings trims. Nails only is $25.00 per Amazon. We take our 3 to an Avian vet not a regular vet. We live in Michigan but take our parrots to an Avian vet in Granger Indiana.
Well, there’s really no reason to take it to the vet, birds really only need a mite protector on the back of there cage, and if there is something wrong with the bird, it will let you know by either being quite or loud, whichever ones unusual, and will start plucking.
As far as clipping, take it to your local pet shop, they will know how to do it and, will probably charge less. Don’t get the wings clipped unless you find it totally necessary, cause if it does get out, then its stranded.
