Why do products on amazon sometimes have a ridiculous price increase?

Posted by admin acc Comments (2)

Sometimes when I am searching for stuff on Amazon, I see that an item I bought for 30.00 for example, is listed as costing 77.00. Does anyone know why this is?

  1. ronald.glass@sbcglobal.net says:

Probably two reasons: Their cost went up and they wanted a higher profit margin on the item. Or maybe, they price by the philosophy: Whatever the public will bear.

you may have bought the item at 30$ when it was subsidised to gain market share. after a while the item usaully goes back to the normal retail price
