Thank you for the English lesson, I didn’t have time like you did, to rewrite it several times. I do realize there are run-on sentences, but that’s not the issue, the issue is that you still under whatever circumstances believe that “Texaco operated in an environmentally responsible manner which did not cause damage”? really how would you know you’ve never even seen it, How would you even know where to look? better yet, I bet you wouldn’t dare take a drink of their water. u prolly work 4 them.

  2. ianmor41 says:

Ha ha. I’m ignorant? You “sir” are the one who’s paragraph is filled with improper grammar, run on sentences, and capital letters embedded in the middle of sentences. Obviously you believe anything you see on TV. I agree that there is still pollution caused by drilling activity, but this pollution was not caused by Texaco. Texaco operated in an environmentally responsible manner which did not cause any damage to the land. Only after the state run company took over did the damage occur.

  3. lungzilla865 says:

    @ianmor41
How can you such things?? You sir are an ignorant minded person, who’s whole argument is that “Texaco did its job” So if that is the case Why are people in the Amazon still dying? why are is the water still polluted? why is there oil still embedded into the soil? No you sir, are in fact a blind mouse, Who has been presented with undeniable, indisputable evidence, yet you shun it, is if it is false. Remember it was Texaco who wanted a trial in Ecuador not the other way around…

  4. selmanadzovic says:

So, for the purpose of exploiting oil you are to happy to do business in this system, but once you get sued you cry corruption? Haha, laughable excuse!

  5. ramtes1971 says:

    Both should be hanged.
American companies support corrupt goverments in Latin America, and when is not enough they boicot them or even kill them.

  6. williamochoa800 says:

    excelente reportaje.

  7. williamochoa800 says:

    bullshit,
that`s a lie. i`m ecuadorian, I know the situation, and I can say that you`re so wrong

  8. lukepevensie says:

Chevron deserves to have their heads shrunk.

  9. ianmor41 says:

The Ecuadorian people need to sue their government, not Chevron. Texaco cleaned up all their sites before leaving, and left nothing contaminated. None of the contaminated sites on this video are Texaco. After the state run oil company took over all operations, they made the mess and destroyed their own country.

  10. SunTzuLao says:

lol I love the thumbs down shit from you assholes. Douchebags.

  11. SunTzuLao says:

Chevron paid them, whoever authorized that should swing from a gallows pole. The politicians too. They’ve killed people for money, no better than assassins, except an assassin kills his mark quickly, rather than the horrible deaths these people will suffer.

  12. eyeOOsee says:

FRIVOLOUS????? You refer to THAT lifelong DISASTER and DEVASTATION as frivolous!!!!
Yeah, well I suppose you do! Which is EXACTLY why they stand on a legal justice and YOU LOSE, bitch.
You should be paying out 37 TRILLION, and even THEN it would only scratch the surface of real justice…infact every penny you have ever MADE should go to restore the Amazon and ALL its tribal and wildlife. You have been stung by a misquito, and the itch is worse than you could ever dream possible!! HA-HA!

  13. lukepevensie says:

the Ecuadorian people need to abandon the contaminated water area. until chevron cleans it up. if they won’t clean up that area we nuke it

  14. fquito says:

you are very wrong my friend….. we are so fucked up thanks to corrupted politicians which chevron happened to pay…….

  15. Sender31 says:

…fuc* this 27 billions dollars…this is nothing, what about this peopple, their families and EARTH.

When all humans understand we have to stop messing on ours small earth…(wars, chemicals in food,in medicaments,in the air,in rivers, in the ground)…then will be ready to evolution and realize how stupid their was making global wars and hurting everybody include their selfs.

  16. watercup123456 says:

    Wow.
More people need to know about this kind of stuff (which happens every day).

Many countries suffer from this kind of exploitation, and our global environment is suffering.

These same oil companies pay people to deny global warming and the other great environmental damage caused from drilling/mining and the use of fossil fuels.

  17. nateskater2000 says:

    Incredible coverage

  18. SunTzuLao says:

Well brother I hope they all get theirs, they certainly deserve some serious punishment. Some of them should probably be hanged, like whoever at texaco gave the thumbs up to just leaving all the crap there, but we all know that will never happened.

  19. Revolucionario02 says:

Chevron: “we doesn’t want to be in any court” oh my gods! what kind of people are these?

  20. Revolucionario02 says:

    SunTzuLao:

Ecuadorian government is responsible as well but not in the same way as Chevron. They are responsible because corrupt officials in previous governments were bribed and they allowed this to happen. So far 7 people are now being investigated and prosecuted by the Ecuadorian general attorney. They are facing corruption and collusion charges and most likely will spend several years in jail.

  21. SunTzuLao says:

sick bastards. I wonder why they don’t talk much about PetroEcuador also, it seems they’d both be liable. It would actually seem worse that they (Petro Ecuador) would let texaco fuck their country up so badly, I bet some important people in Ecuador would draw some heat, so they’re focusing on Chevron to distract the people from their own domestic criminals.

  22. danielpaco2000 says:

“Chevron doesn’t want to be in any court.” That pretty much says everything the attitude of this barbarian corporation.

  23. dianacevallos88 says:

Son unos desalmados…..pero si no lo pagan aqui, lo pagaran ante Dios

  24. juanchirimoya says:

I wonder whether that NY jewish laywer is working for free…..hhhmmmm…..naaahh
and why is there no mention on Petro Ecuador’s role? hhmmmmmm………

  25. zard002 says:

Men!!! These people (Chevron) has zero conscience or what!!!
They don’t want to be in ANY court — what a fvcking bunch of arrogance.
