This short video was very helpful! I’m so intimidated by this camera, I don’t know where to start. I may buy your Crash Course! Thanks so much!

thats actually a good question! the Nikon D5000 got a monitor that you can rotate and stuff and shoot over head of crouds. It also has the Nikon D90 sensor that has 12.0 Mega Pixels. The Canon Eos 50D has got 15 Mega Pixels but just 9 focus points. The Canos allows you to capture Full HD video. The D5000 can record “Just” HD vidoes. i hope it helped…

michael when your doing macro on live view and you use the focus zoom button how come the photo comes out smaller than what you see in the screen even after you have put the focus lock on

@kmacdigi Glad to help- You may want to check out the DVD I have on the 50D, there is a link to it above. Very helpful. Best wishes

  17. kmacdigi says:

@MichaelTheMentor You’re exactly right. it was in automatic sports mode from my son’s swim meet! ha ha! I have a lot to learn. thank you so much!

  18. MichaelTheMentor says:

@kmacdigi Check your Mode Dial- if you are in the Automatic Modes, you wont see it. Turn it to P, Av, Tv, or M and try again. ;)

  19. kmacdigi says:

I have this camera, – since Dec. 2008, but the live view options are not listed under that menu. am I missing some sort of update?

  20. phildas says:

canon EOS50D without a doubt! Else look at a Nikon D700 or something…

  21. phildas says:

cool How is the photography going?!!!

  22. TroubleshQQter says:

depends on what you wanna do with your camera. are you used to single lens reflex cameras? did you photograph earlier, maybe with an analog SLR?
or are you a total beginner?

  23. mbpetally says:

@LSFreeBird See my posting about the 50D – biggest sensor one can buy for the money, so I went for it. Cheers Mark

  24. mbpetally says:

Hi, I have had film SLR’s for years and I wanted to move to DSLR’s. After researching on the internet, and spending a bit of time thinking about sensor sizes, I bought the EOS 50D this week. It had the biggest sensor I could get for the money I had. It’s great. No regrets, although I have a lot to re-learn.

  25. BlankMessageTV says:
