Nitroplanes FMS Sky Trainer Cessna 182 Maiden with OnBoard
Posted by admin acc Comments (25)
Thank you for watching this Maiden Flight video of the Nitroplanes FMS Sky Trainer, Cessna 182 style Plane. This video includes On Board Flight Footage using the Nitroplanes mini spy camera. This Plane is very agile, handling loops, rolls high speed turns etc very nicely! She is also stable enough for the 1st time pilot. Thanks for watching. Nice flying, but I probably would find another place to put the onboard camera. The wing top blocks out all the view. All you really see is the white wing and the sky with bits of ground, well, you see. maybe under the belly? Or another type of camera, maybe smaller? Or turn it around. It might look better turned around
4000th view!
@RCRedBaron it looked like it was a bit tail heavy, but you are the pilot you know better.
anyway it’s a nice plane
@maestrosVIP : It CG’d at the right point, and it didnt fly like she was tail heavy, felt nice.
isn’t it a bit tail heavy???
i really want this plane is it good
Where are you flying it looks pretty sweet. I am getting this plane next week!
this is the one
awesome pilot
God this thing is so smooth.
Damnet NitroPlanes, why are you out of stock!
Sure is. It’s like a Super Cub, only with Ailerons and Tri-Gear. Flys Super Great.
This is very thick EPO foam, so it holds up well. In the event of a break or crack, using C/A Foam Safe Gap Filling Glue bonds the foam back stronger than original. So it is super easy repair, and many times, you can’t even tell you repaired it.
how does the foam hold up to a crash where the wing smashes the ground? and will any electronic burn out quickly even with propper use?
here is the one im getting
Me too.
This is a great flying airplane! My nose wheel broke off after about 4 or 5 flights due to a hard landing. Fixed it with “amazing goop”. That is the only weak link I’ve found with it. But then if I wouldn’t have landed so hard it probably wouldn’t have been a problem. Great flight. 5*

OMG please send one to me..HEHEHE! Damn I need more money!! Airhogs are the way to go for me.
Do you think this is a good plane after the supercub?
Absolutely! However, If you were a Beginner Pilot, coming from a 3channel plane say, would you rather move up to this Cessna Style High Wing Floater with Ailerons to learn on, or the Super Agile, super quick T-28 Aileron to learn on next? I would Get this as 1st plane, master it, then go for the T-28. That would be a decent transition for a new pilot. Thanks Man!
She can also be easily modified. Like putting Flaps on her. Or putting a faster motor in it. Lots of potential.
that is a smooth flyer there. might have to pick that one up next.
I like this plane , but I still think the T-28 is a better Aileron Trainer.
I like the cessna line up. How does she fly compared to the 172? Another fine video in the many that you have..
I think would be a great 1st pilot plane. Since its high wing, she floats nice. The EPO foam is SUPER strong. Easily fixed if need be with C/A Foam Safe glue. This plane lets you go from beginner and advance on up due to its agility. The Tri-Gear is an advantage too. Typically easier to taxi around than a tail dragger. Thanks for watching!!
Its for sale for $149. See link on Side Bar. Or goto my webpage, RCREDBARON and use those links and also get a discount code. BUT, YES, I think so. For $149 RTF, its a nice deal. Its a great size 55″ wing and it flys Very smooth. Great for 1st timers and experienced pilots. The RTF comes with everything you need to get in the air with the exception of 8 AA batteries for the transmitter. But you get Lipo Battery, charger, Transmitter and nearly built for you.
