    its important not to blinker ourselves,i really love the tonal pallette of eric johnson,his mastery is unquestionable,and the same appreciation of musical strength in depth displayed by mr joe pass, robben ford jeff beck robert cray,vai satriani gilmour clapton page ,,,so so many awesome talents,,we are so blessed to have them to share,enjoy for what they are,music incarnate,but way down inside any guitar player at any level is that spiritual d,n,a strand the aural inheritance from jimi hendrix

  11. cinarol49 says:

    @tommyradcliffe ok, but satch is equally as amazing, admit it…eric johnson is amazing, and probably the most melodic, tho, but satch has explored the guitar more than anyone else. and yes, vai and van halen are like 5 leauges under satch and johnson, i agree.

    I really have to start saving up for a Strat.
    There are some songs where a dual-P90 Telecaster just won’t cut it.

  15. swampdonkey90210 says:

    @tommyradcliffe i dont agree with you about satriani, vai, but eric johnson is a fantastic guitar legend. they are all good in their own style, and all have specific little things that make each unique in their own way.

  16. ofuckitstravis says:

    @tommyradcliffe couldn’t have said it better myself. His technique is flawless and his chops are literally unbelievable. Not to mention he gets the most incredible tone out of his guitar; makes me want to shell out for an American Strat. I would put him and Greg Howe on the uppermost echelon of guitar gods.

  22. NailedSolo says:

    wtf is that sound at 1:58

  23. NailedSolo says:

    one of the best songs created on earth.. love the drums

  24. voodooalchemy says:

    @tommyradcliffe

    i’m glad a real professional musician recognizes eric as one of the best, if not thee best guitarist. all these young kids get so caught up in the speed and flash of steve vai that they miss the true genius of eric johnson. his song writing and singing is very underrated as well.

  25. BigBrothersWatching2 says:

    @tommyradcliffe flat out best? I personally gotta give that to steve morse (of course thats just my opinion! you’re entitled to yours of course) I freaking love EJ’s phrasing though, so so smooth like you said!
